I&E Construction Specialist
The I&E Construction Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating instrumentation and electrical construction activities within oil and gas facilities. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, schedules, and budgets. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting industrial construction projects, strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, engineers, and operations personnel.

The I&E Construction Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating instrumentation and electrical construction activities within oil and gas facilities. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, schedules, and budgets. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting industrial construction projects, strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, engineers, and operations personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor electrical and instrumentation construction activities from planning through completion.
- Support project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and resource coordination to ensure successful project execution.
- Review construction progress and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Conduct field inspections and quality assurance reviews to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and contractor teams to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Review and approve completed work packages, punch list items, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate project status, risks, and progress updates to key stakeholders.
- Support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities as needed.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to electrical and instrumentation construction.
- Experience supporting electrical and instrumentation projects within oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles, project controls, and contractor oversight.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical one-lines, and construction specifications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
